Job summary

National Grid Electricity Distribution seeks an experienced Training Trainer for Jointing at the Eakring Training Centre in the East Midlands. You will lead Jointing training courses, design innovative programmes using new technologies, and collaborate with experts to ensure training meets evolving workforce needs.

You will deliver to apprentices, new hires, and operational staff, with travel to other UK training centres. A DBS check is required and a full driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• Recognised City and Guilds qualification or equivalent.
• Extensive experience as an Authorised Person holding LVUG and competent in HV Jointing Work.
• Solid understanding of Distribution Safety Rules and Cable Jointing Policies.
• Excellent communication and time management / planning skills.
• IT skills and familiarity with PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality training in classroom and workshop environments.
• Design and develop technical and safety training to meet customer requirements.
• Maintain training products and ensure QA compliance.
• Ensure training products meet safety and technical standards.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to meet workforce needs.
• Review safety bulletins and update sessions accordingly.
• Observe and give feedback to improve training quality.
• Maintain and calibrate training equipment.
• Assess learners to ensure qualification standards.
• Work with Design and Innovation Team to drive improvements.
