Job summary

Alecto Recruitment is seeking an experienced HVLV Cable Jointer to work across private networks, including MOD and HMP sites, with nationwide travel across England. The role involves jointing and terminating HV (11kV) and LV cables and requires SC clearance eligibility.

You will operate on secure sites, perform fault finding, installation and maintenance, and ensure all activities meet safety and quality standards. A company vehicle is provided along with tools and a pension plan.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Cable Jointer with HV (up to 11kV) and LV cables.
• Relevant jointing qualifications (e.g. NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds).
• Experience on private networks, MOD and HMP sites.

Responsibilities

• Carry out HV/11kV and LV jointing and termination on private networks.
• Fault finding, cable repairs and reinstatement work across sites.
• Install and maintain underground and overhead cable systems.
• General electrical works on private network projects, incl. testing.
• Work safely with permits to work and health & safety rules.
• Adhere to site security protocols in MOD/HMP environments.
• Travel across England with occasional overnight stays.
• Document test certificates and job reports clearly.
