Job summary

Mansell Recruitment Group is assisting a well-established engineering manufacturer in recruiting a Test Engineer to join their growing team. This hands-on role focuses on electrical acceptance testing of large industrial equipment to ensure compliance with customer specs, engineering standards and quality requirements before dispatch.

You will work closely with Electrical, Production and Quality teams, record and analyse test results, maintain calibration of equipment, and contribute to

Qualifications

• HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience performing electrical testing in engineering/manufacturing.
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings and specs.
• Strong safety awareness in a safety-critical environment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical acceptance testing on large industrial equipment.
• Perform high-voltage testing per procedures and safety regulations.
• Record, analyse and report test results against specs.
• Produce detailed test documentation in company systems.
• Support development of testing methods and data acquisition.
• Maintain testing equipment, calibration, and suitability.
• Coordinate testing with Production and Engineering to meet deadlines.
• Investigate faults and assist root-cause analysis.
• Contribute to continuous improvement in testing efficiency, quality and safety.
• Maintain housekeeping and comply with Health & Safety procedures.
