Job summary

Holt Engineering in Horsham, West Sussex, is seeking an enthusiastic Electrical Production Engineer with a strong electrical test bias to join a growing engineering and manufacturing team.

This hands-on role supports Operations and Engineering throughout the product lifecycle, designing and developing test equipment for in-process sub-assembly testing, improving production processes, resolving issues, and ensuring products are built efficiently and to high quality standards.

Qualifications

• Experience testing electrical or electromechanical equipment.
• Ability to read complex wiring diagrams, schematics and PCB layouts.
• Strong fault-finding and root-cause analysis skills.
• Proficient at producing technical documentation.
• Clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Act as the key electrical and test interface between Engineering and Production teams.
• Define and implement in-process testing requirements to improve build quality and reduce rework.
• Provide electrical and test support to resolve engineering and production issues, minimising delays and disruption.
• Support Design Engineering throughout the product development lifecycle, ensuring DFM/DFA/DT considerations from early stages.
• Design, develop, and procure test equipment, jigs, fixtures, and associated tooling.
• Develop test procedures and coordinate production engineering activities.
• Support engineering changes and continuous improvement across production and engineering functions.
• Assist Quality with inspection, investigation, and corrective actions.
