Job summary

Mansell Recruitment Group Plc seeks a hands-on Test Engineer to perform electrical acceptance testing on large industrial equipment, ensuring adherence to customer specs and engineering standards before dispatch.

You will collaborate with Electrical, Production, Quality and Engineering teams to deliver reliable testing solutions and support continuous improvements within the test facility.

Qualifications

• HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience with high‑voltage electrical systems and testing.
• Experience in engineering/manufacturing testing environments.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong problem-solving and proactive approach.
• Commitment to Health & Safety in a safety-critical environment.
• Familiarity with IEC/ISO electrical testing standards.
• Experience with LabVIEW or similar software.
• Experience with data acquisition systems or automated test equipment.
• Experience with rotating equipment, motors or industrial electrical machines.

Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical acceptance testing on large industrial equipment.
• Perform high‑voltage testing in line with procedures and safety regulations.
• Record, analyse and report test results against customer specifications and engineering standards.
• Produce detailed test documentation and log results in company systems.
• Support development of testing methods and data acquisition systems.
• Maintain and calibrate testing equipment.
• Coordinate testing activities with Production and Engineering to meet deadlines.
• Investigate faults and support root cause analysis.
• Contribute to continuous improvement for testing efficiency, quality and safety.
• Maintain housekeeping and compliance with Health & Safety procedures.
