Job summary

Climate17 is recruiting a Senior Authorised Person (SAP) for its power division to oversee high voltage maintenance, protection, and commissioning across DNO, IDNO, and private networks in the UK. The role covers 11kV up to 66kV/132kV voltages, with UK-wide travel and a hands-on SAP function.

We are seeking individuals with HV OHL/UG SAP background, UK authorisations within DNOs, and a proven track record in HV project delivery. A full UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• HV OHL & UG SAP experience required.
• Experience on HV DNO and private networks.
• Current authorisations within UK DNOs or recent within last 12 months (LV, 11kV, 33kV).
• Full UK driving licence is essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out maintenance and protection works across DNO/IDNO or private networks to customer specs.
• Oversee maintenance, repairs, installation and commissioning schemes from LV to 33kV.
• Plan and organise scopes of work for clients (DNOs/IDNOs).
• Liaise with clients to ensure shutdown duration and procedures are agreed.
• Issue safety documents for HV OHL & UG networks (DNO/private).
• Switch on HV OHL & UG networks for clients.
• Resource labour, tools and equipment for assigned works.
• Perform standby duties for fault response and emergencies on a rota.
