Job summary

A leading company in the manufacturing sector is seeking a Senior HR Officer to join their team in Solihull. The role involves managing the employee lifecycle, handling complex HR issues, and supporting the HR Manager. Qualifications

Are you a competent Senior HR Officer with a minimum of 2 years experience and a CIPD Level 7?

Ashley Kate HR are looking to recruit a Senior HR Officer to join an impressive, growing manufacturing plant in Solihull.

Based onsite, Monday - Friday, salary up to £45,000 based on experience.

40 hours per week

About the Role

As a Senior HR Officer, you'll be a key point of contact, ensuring key deliverables are reported out for the business, actively leading and coaching on a range of complex HR issues to support the HR Manager and HR Strategy across the company.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Complete onboarding and offboarding programmes, including the entire employee lifecycle.
  2. Prepare HR reports and metrics using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with proficiency in Pivot tables and V Lookups.
  3. Manage, chair, and lead complex Employee Relations cases end-to-end with outcomes.
  4. Drive culture and change across the business, leading by example.
  5. Work closely with the L&D team to identify key training areas to be delivered across the business.
  6. Facilitate regular review meetings supporting employees managing absence periods.
  7. Support compliance with unions and up-to-date employment law.
  8. Ensure accuracy of new starters and payroll in line with compliance.
  9. Participate actively in management meetings.
About You
  • Strong understanding of UK employment law and HR best practices.
  • Proven experience in a Senior HR Officer/Senior Advisor role handling complex ER cases end-to-end.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with a high-volume headcount.
  • Experience with HR KPIs and process improvement activities.
  • Experience delivering projects and driving process improvements.
  • (Desirable) HR experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Intermediate Excel skills, confident in reporting complex data and preparing reports for the board.
