Dorset Police/ Devon and Cornwall Police is offering a Senior HR Officer secondment in Plymouth, Crownhill. The role is hybrid, with office-based duties at Crownhill Police Station and remote work after induction.

The successful candidate will deliver HR operations support across the Force, handling case management and advising on employee relations, performance, attendance, and conduct matters while guiding junior HR staff. A fixed-term internal secondment until Sept 2027.

Salary: Starts at £40,383 rising by yearly increments to a maximum of £44,700 per annum

About the role:

An exciting secondment opportunity has arisen within the Alliance People Department for a Senior HR Officer until September 2027. As a hybrid role there is great flexibility, working within the Plymouth office, based in Crownhill Police Station and remotely once you have completed your induction and initial training.

About the Role

The successful candidate will provide HR Operations support to designated areas across the Force. Working closely with designated Command teams/Management teams, they will help deliver a comprehensive HR case management and advisory service, supporting a range of employee relations matters including:

• Performance management
• Attendance management
• Police Staff conduct matters
• General HR advisory support

The post holder will also provide guidance and direction to HR Officers and supervise Assistant HR Officers.
