Job summary

CMR Surgical is seeking a Senior Usability Engineer to plan and execute usability activities for new system designs. The role includes planning, UFMEA documentation, and coordinating studies with our team and external consultants.

It is offered on a hybrid basis, with a minimum of three days per week in the office, based in the UK. The ideal candidate will have experience in development teams, MDR/FDA medical devices, risk management (ISO 14971), and the ability to travel to the USA for studies.

Qualifications

• Experience with human factors and usability objectives for complex products.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills across diverse disciplines.
• Attention to detail and ability to distill information into actionable recommendations.
• Experience observing and interviewing people in clinical situations.
• Regulatory experience with MDR & FDA medical devices and ISO 14971 risk management.

Responsibilities

• Plan, moderate and report formative and summative usability studies.
• Compile documentation compliant with regulatory requirements.
• Create and maintain UFMEA and related risk documents.
• Support team to achieve human factors activities for projects.
