Job summary

Network Plus is seeking an Operational Safety Lead - Water Utilities to provide specialist health, safety, environmental and quality support across capital delivery projects in the UK water sector. The role covers design through construction and commissioning of water and wastewater assets, with projects centred in Worsley.

Based in the United Utilities department, you will lead HSEQ initiatives, guide CDM compliance, and collaborate with clients and operations teams to drive excellence in

Qualifications

• CDM Regulations and Principal Contractor assurance.
• Temporary Works assurance incl. BS 5975 compliance.
• Confined space entry, rescue planning & permit compliance.
• Lifting operations: LOLER & BS 7121.
• Excavation safety & buried services controls.
• Process safety awareness for water & wastewater assets.
• Isolation, commissioning & decommissioning activities.
• Water Industry Registration Scheme (WIRS).
• Environmental awareness & Quality management systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide HSEQ & CDM guidance to contracts.
• Ensure compliance with CDM 2015 regulations and PCI coordination.
• Develop and review Construction Phase Plans (CPP).
• Drive high safety, quality and environmental standards on projects.
• Lead by example; coach project teams on HSEQ.
• Review and approve HSEQ documentation and management systems.
