Job summary

ADM in the United Kingdom seeks a Senior HSE Manager (COMAH) to lead health, safety and environmental programs at a COMAH designated Oilseeds Processing facility. You will drive process safety, fire protection and regulatory compliance, partnering with site leadership and global centers.

You will mentor the HSE team, coordinate major hazard risk management, investigations and change management to safeguard people, assets and the environment while improving performance and culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Safety Management, Environmental Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Expertise in Health & Safety, Environmental and Process Safety management systems within an industrial setting.
• Strong COMAH/Seveso regulatory knowledge including explosion safety and risk assessments (HAZOP/LOPA).
• Experience leading HSE teams in high-hazard manufacturing or chemical environments.
• Experience managing COMAH compliance, Safety Reports, emergency planning and MAH risk management.
• Strategic thinker with analytical and problem-solving skills and strong stakeholder influence.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the site HSE, Process Safety and Fire Protection teams with strategic direction.
• Champion a proactive safety culture focused on major hazard prevention and risk reduction.
• Drive continuous improvement using data and investigations; lead PSM governance and regulatory compliance.
• Lead risk management processes (HAZOPs, LOPAs, MOC, PSSR) and regulatory inspections.
• Collaborate with site leadership and global centers to drive sustainable HSE performance.
• Guide engineering/operations on safe project delivery, emergency planning and crisis response.
• Promote onboarding, leadership development and HSE capability programs site-wide.
