Job summary

Barhale is seeking an experienced HSE Manager to support multiple projects in meeting Health, Safety & Environmental requirements. You will report to the Head of HSE, mentoring Advisors and site teams to uphold high standards and drive continuous improvement.

You will lead HSE initiatives, manage investigations, prepare monthly statistics, and ensure regulatory compliance while promoting a culture of safety across the region.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH general certificate or IOSH as a minimum.
• CEnv or equivalent as a minimum, but ideally ISEP.
• Extensive HSE experience within a civil engineering environment.
• Analytical skills to interpret detailed information and regulations.
• High standard of written English and good communication skills.
• CSCS Safety Professional card.
• Able to work as a team, but capable of working alone to tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Support the provision of Health & Wellbeing within the business, under the direction of the Head of HSE.
• Promote HSE initiatives regionally and communicate monthly themes.
• Produce regional HSE statistics monthly and identify trends.
