Job summary

3D Personnel Ltd is representing a leading Tier 1 main contractor seeking an experienced HSE Lead to drive HSE performance on major South Coast construction projects. You will lead strategy, policies and coaching across projects, ensuring compliance with UK legislation and client requirements.

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating as an HSE Lead within a Tier 1 or major contractor.
• Strong knowledge of UK health and safety legislation and CDM 2015.
• Experience delivering HSE leadership across large construction projects.
• Chartered IOSH status or working towards Chartered status is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of HSE policies, procedures and management systems.
• Provide expert HSE guidance to senior project teams to ensure legislative compliance.
• Promote a proactive safety culture through engagement, coaching and leadership.
• Conduct site inspections, audits and performance reviews, implementing corrective actions.
• Oversee RAMS, construction phase plans and safe systems of work development.
• Lead investigations into incidents and near misses, identifying root causes and lessons learned.
• Monitor subcontractor HSE performance and drive improvements across the supply chain.
• Support environmental management and sustainability objectives, including waste management.
• Prepare and present HSE performance reports and identify improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with clients, regulators and stakeholders to uphold high HSE standards.
