Job summary

KBR in Devonport is seeking an experienced HSE Manager to lead safety, health and wellbeing standards across a defence infrastructure project, spanning pre-construction to handover.

You will provide strategic guidance, embed safety culture, and ensure CDM 2015 compliance while coordinating with senior leaders and project teams on risk reduction and compliant delivery. The role is hybrid with on-site work three days per week and requires UK security clearance.

Qualifications

• Significant construction/infra projects background with HSE responsibility.
• Proven track record in implementing health and safety standards.
• Experience with UK CDM Regulations and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of safety, health and wellbeing standards across the project.
• Provide strategic guidance to senior leaders and project teams.
• Review risk assessments and method statements; ensure high-risk activities are controlled.
• Conduct site inspections, audits and incident investigations; drive corrective actions.
• Collaborate with designers/contractors and promote safety culture.
