Job summary

KBR is seeking an experienced HSE Manager to lead safety, health, and wellbeing standards across a complex defence infrastructure programme. You will embed a proactive safety culture across construction, civil engineering and marine workstreams, guiding senior leaders and project teams from pre-construction to handover.

Reporting to the Project Manager and Head of Health and Safety, you will ensure compliance with UK CDM 2015 regulations, drive continuous policy improvement, and maintain

Qualifications

• NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) in Occupational Health and Safety.
• Membership of a recognised professional body (e.g., IOSH/IIRSM), ideally Chartered.
• HNC, HND, or Degree in a relevant engineering, construction, or safety discipline.

Responsibilities

• Ensure full compliance with CDM Regulations and health and safety legislation.
• Provide expert guidance to senior leadership, project managers and site teams.
• Review contractor/designer health and safety documentation including risk assessments.
• Identify hazards, assess risks, and implement robust control measures with Principal Designer/Contractor.
• Lead safety training, site inspections, audits and investigations into incidents.
