Job summary

Aurora Energy Services Ltd is seeking an HSE Advisor to support operations in the Scottish Highlands and Huntly, Aberdeenshire. You will drive health, safety, environment, and quality performance, ensuring compliant and sustainable practices across the business.

Lead policy development, risk assessment, and incident investigations while fostering a proactive HSE culture. Expect regular cross-site engagement and UK-wide travel to underpin safety excellence.

Qualifications

• 5 years in health, safety and environmental management with at least 3 years in a leadership role in the UK.
• Strong knowledge of UK HSE legislation and ISO 14001/45001 implementation.
• Experience in CDM Principal Contractor duties and lifting planning.
• Willingness to travel across the UK to company facilities and sites.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain health and safety policies, procedures, and systems aligned with UK law and industry standards.
• Conduct site inspections, risk assessments, and audits to identify hazards and nonconformances.
• Provide expert guidance to management and staff on health and safety matters.
• Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses with corrective actions.
• Monitor HSE performance indicators and regulatory compliance across sites.
• Design and deliver HSE training and raise workforce competency.
• Engage regulators, contractors, and internal stakeholders on HSE matters.
• Support business continuity planning and emergency response readiness.
