Senior HSE Advisor – Offshore Wind & UK Projects

Job summary

Masdar is seeking an experienced HSE professional to ensure safe, high-quality delivery of onshore enabling and offshore works across UK and international projects. You will provide end-to-end HSE support, oversee CDM 2015 compliance, and lead contractor engagements to mitigate liabilities within the Global Offshore Wind portfolio.

The role requires UK-based applicants with valid right to work, and involves secondment to the DBS project.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in H&S or related field; electrical engineering is a plus.
• IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent health and safety qualification (highly desirable).
• NEBOSH National General Certificate or NEBOSH Construction Certificate (or equivalent Level 3+ HSE qualification).
• BOSIET/FOET with CA-EBS – required if offshore attendance is expected.
• GWO Certifications: Working at Heights, Sea Survival, Fire Awareness, First Aid, Manual Handling; OGUK Offshore Medical Certificate if offshore attendance is expected.
• CDM 2015 Awareness/Training – understanding of roles under UK Construction Regulations; ISO 45001 Lead Auditor desirable.

Responsibilities

• Embed corporate HSE policies, practices and procedures into daily operations and contractor engagements.
• Foster continuous improvement and proactive safety leadership.
• Stay current with offshore H&S legislation and best practices; provide updates to teams and contractors.
• Lead and support incident investigations and root cause analysis.
• Coordinate and lead regular HSE audits across project areas and maintain risk registers.
• Engage with regulators and stakeholders on HSE matters to ensure compliance.
