Job summary

Irwin & Colton in Manchester is seeking a Senior Health and Safety Advisor to support construction operations across the region. This hands-on role collaborates with project and site teams to uphold high HSE standards and foster a strong safety culture.

You will conduct site inspections, risk assessments and contribute to Construction Health & Safety Plans, while assisting incident investigations and ensuring compliance with UK legislation.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH Construction or General Certificate (or equivalent) required.
• Experience working in a construction HSE role across multiple sites.
• Strong understanding of UK HSE legislation.
• Confident communicator with report writing and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide health, safety and environmental support across construction projects.
• Carry out site inspections, audits and risk assessments to identify risks.
• Help develop, implement and review Construction Health & Safety Plans.
• Support the investigation of incidents and ensure corrective actions are taken.
• Work with site teams to drive improvements in health and safety standards and compliance.
