Job summary

Policy Expert Claims is seeking aSenior HR Business Partner to own the people agenda for Claims Operations, supporting around 150 employees and 15 People Managers. You’ll provide strategic HR guidance, lead complex employee relations matters and drive organisational change to protect and grow the team.

This hands-on role offers ownership of the business area and opportunities to influence how talent is managed, developed and retained within a fast-paced claims environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years HR experience with HRBP/HR Manager roles.
• Experience managing complex employee relations cases.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law.
• Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with Claims Operations stakeholders and understand business priorities.
• Provide proactive HR advice to senior leaders and People Managers; challenge where appropriate.
• Lead complex employee relations, including disciplinary, grievance, capability, performance, conduct and absence cases.
• Manage cases from initial advice through resolution with fair, legally compliant processes.
• Coach managers through investigations, formal meetings and difficult conversations.
• Support long-term absence management and ill-health capability processes with Occupational Health involvement.
• Advise on organisational change, restructuring and redundancy plans.
• Assist workforce planning and identify future people and capability needs in Claims Operations.
• Analyse turnover, absence, engagement and ER trends and recommend actions.
• Support initiatives to enhance employee engagement and retention.
