Job summary

ASSA ABLOY Group Portobello Operations seeks a Senior HR Advisor to partner with operational leaders, guiding employee relations, recruitment, and workforce planning. You’ll be the lead HR contact for the site, building capabilities, supporting changes, and driving engagement and inclusion across a diverse workforce.

You will collaborate with Trade Union representatives, manage complex people matters, and deliver proactive HR solutions to enhance performance and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years’ experience operating at HR Advisor level or above.
• Experience in a unionised environment and building effective Trade Union relationships.
• Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience supporting organisational change and business transformation activities.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary HR advisor for managers, supervisors, and employees across Portobello Operations.
• Partner with operational leaders to provide pragmatic and commercially focused HR solutions.
• Manage employee relations matters, including investigations, disciplinary, grievances, and absence management.
• Develop management capability through coaching, guidance, and training on HR policies and best practice.
• Lead recruitment activity across the site and improve the candidate and hiring manager experience.
• Support Early Talent, succession planning, and development initiatives to build future capability.
• Collaborate with managers on skills gaps and development needs.
