Job summary

ASSA ABLOY Group is seeking a Senior HR Advisor for the Portobello Operations site in Willenhall. You will partner with operational leaders to provide practical HR solutions, lead recruitment, and manage employee relations, including investigations and performance issues.

You will coach managers, drive change initiatives, and build strong relationships with Trade Union representatives while supporting wellbeing, attendance and inclusion across a diverse workforce.

Qualifications

• CIPD Level 5 qualification and solid HR experience within a complex environment.
• Minimum three years’ experience at HR Advisor level or above.
• Experience working in a unionised environment with TU relationships.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary HR advisor for managers, supervisors, and employees at Portobello Operations.
• Partner with operational leaders to deliver pragmatic, commercially focused HR solutions.
• Manage employee relations matters including investigations, disciplinary, and absence management.
• Coach and train managers on HR policies and best practice.
• Lead recruitment activity across the site and support talent initiatives.
• Support organisational change, restructures, and workforce planning.
• Drive engagement, wellbeing, and inclusion, and analyse HR metrics for decisions.
• Collaborate with Health & Safety and Occupational Health on wellbeing and return‑to‑work outcomes.
