Job summary

Sheffield Hallam University is seeking a Senior HR & Organisational Development Adviser - Reward to join the HROD team in Sheffield. The role focuses on expert advice across reward, benefits, pay and job evaluation, with responsibility for developing reward practices.

The post is 0.6 FTE (three days per week) with hybrid working. You will lead salary benchmarking, job evaluation, annual pay reviews, and support policy development while engaging with trade unions and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in reward or specialist HR environment.
• Strong knowledge of job evaluation (Hay and/or Hera).
• Experience with salary benchmarking and market-pay analysis.
• Experience designing or managing reward and recognition processes.
• Strong numerical, analytical and research skills.
• Good knowledge of employment legislation and reward practices.
• Experience advising managers and senior stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Experience supporting projects, policy development and training.

Hours: 0.6 FTE - 3 days per week

We are recruiting for an experienced Senior HR & Organisational Development Adviser - Reward to join the HROD team at Sheffield Hallam University.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR professional with specialist reward knowledge who is looking for a senior-level role working three days per week.

The role will focus on providing expert advice across reward, benefits, pay and job evaluation, while supporting the development and improvement of reward practices across the University.

The Role
