Job summary

BACB is seeking an experienced HR Operations & Payroll Manager to lead day-to-day HR operations, payroll, and recruitment for the Bank. You will be the first contact for HR-related queries from colleagues and external partners, and will manage HR administration, onboarding, and payroll processes.

You will oversee a HR & Payroll Administrator, provide leadership, and collaborate with HRBPs and line managers on recruitment. The role is hybrid with on-site and home-working arrangements in London.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with HR processes and procedures.
• Knowledge of local labour laws and regulations governing Human Resources.
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
• Experience in HR project management is a plus.
• Proficient in MS Office.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to build rapport with colleagues and vendors.
• Experience in applying HR systems and programmes.
• Professional certification is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee HR administration, payroll and recruitment activities.
• Serve as first point of contact for HR queries from staff and external partners.
• Lead and mentor the HR & Payroll Administrator and provide performance guidance.
• Coordinate recruitment processes with HRBPs and line managers.
• Manage relationships with recruitment agencies and monitor supplier performance.
• Ensure timely payroll processing and accuracy in payroll records.
• Maintain accurate HR records, onboarding docs and databases.
• Respond to audits and regulatory requests with HR team support.
• Drive process improvements and manage ad hoc HR projects.
