Job summary

BMSL Group Ltd is seeking an experienced HR Manager to take ownership of the people function across office and site environments, driving delivery in energy, infrastructure and engineering projects.

Reporting to the Managing Director, the role offers autonomy, strategic and hands-on HR work, with hybrid working and a competitive benefits package.

You will lead the HR team, shape policies, manage employee relations, recruitment and workforce planning.

Qualifications

• Extensive HR management experience within engineering, construction or project-led environments.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law.
• Proven ability to lead HR teams and partner with senior leaders.
• Experience developing and embedding HR policies and procedures.
• Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the HR team and manage delivery.
• Provide guidance on employee relations, disciplinary, grievances and performance.
• Partner with project and operational leaders on workforce planning and resourcing.
• Design, implement and embed practical HR policies to support delivery while remaining compliant.
• Oversee recruitment and resourcing across office and site-based functions.
• Support pay, terms and conditions for a diverse operational workforce.
• Drive employee engagement, retention and culture initiatives.
• Produce HR metrics and management information for senior leadership.
