Job summary

Hireful is seeking a confident HR generalist to take ownership of a broad, hands-on role at our Northampton site. You will partner with managers to deliver people activities across ER, recruitment, training and engagement, while handling end-to-end admin for 140 employees.

The role is a 14-month fixed-term contract, on-site five days a week, with the opportunity to influence the People strategy and modernise a traditional operation. November start is anticipated.

Qualifications

• Proven generalist HR experience with strong knowledge of UK law and ACAS guidelines.
• Confident Employee Relations skills with decisive advice.
• Experience in manufacturing/industrial environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical advice to line managers on workforce planning, training needs, performance and conduct.
• Partner with the HR Director to deliver the People strategy for the operation.
• Manage end-to-end admin across the employee lifecycle (onboarding to offboarding).
• Design and deliver training, culture and engagement activities for various employee groups.

Are you a confident, practical HR generalist looking for a role with real ownership, autonomy, and influence, who is available for a 14-month fixed term contract?

This iconic brand has its manufacturing site in the centre of Northampton and is looking for a Senior HR Advisor (or HRBP) to join them in November.

This is a broad, hands-on generalist position where you will partner directly with managers to deliver people activities across Employee Relations, Recruitment, Training, Engagement, etc.

What You ll Be Doing:

• Offer clear and practical advice to line managers on people challenges in their teams (workforce planning, training needs, performance and conduct issues)
• Partner with the HR Director to deliver the People strategy for the operation, as they modernise and evolve a very traditional industry
• This is a small team of 2 so you'll be doing all your own admin, across the employee lifecycle, from onboarding to offboarding
• Design and deliver a variety of training, culture and engagement activities across different groups of employees, from managers to operatives
• Be the first point of contact for all employees and managers (140 people total) as a visible, approachable and personable HR support to the team

What We Are Looking For:

• Proven generalist HR experience with strong knowledge of UK employment law and ACAS guidelines.
• Confident Employee Relations skills with the ability to hold challenging conversations and provide decisive advice.
• Background working in HR within manufacturing, warehousing or other industrial environment.
• Happy to be on site 5 days per week (you can work from home on Friday afternoons if you wish!)
