Job summary

Farrer Barnes Ltd is seeking an experienced HR professional to join their team in Medway. The role suits a hands-on Senior HR Advisor who can build relationships and provide practical HR support across the business.

You will work closely with managers to offer guidance on employee relations, performance, absence, disciplinary and grievance processes, and contribute to HR projects and policy updates. The position is available on permanent or fixed-term basis with onsite work and flexible hours.

Qualifications

• Strong Senior HR Advisor or HR Consultant experience.
• Excellent employee relations knowledge and experience.
• Confident advising managers and stakeholders at all levels.
• A pragmatic and solutions‑focused approach.
• Comfortable working in a hands‑on HR role and making an immediate impact.

Responsibilities

• Providing advice and guidance on a wide range of employee relations matters
• Supporting managers through the full employee lifecycle
• Advising on performance, absence, disciplinary and grievance processes
• Supporting with HR projects and process improvements
• Reviewing and updating HR policies and procedures
• Building strong relationships with stakeholders across the business
