Job summary

East Riding of Yorkshire Council seeks a forward thinking HR professional to join our People Services team, delivering expert generalist HR support and leading changes to achieve council objectives. You will advise on complex issues, interpret employment law, and promote equality and inclusion across the workforce.

The role offers blended working (home and office at County Hall Beverley) with occasional travel to sites across the East Riding.

Qualifications

• Degree level qualification in HR or related field.
• Broad HR experience in a large, unionised organisation.
• Strong knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert generalist HR support to senior leaders and managers.
• Deliver interventions to support organisational change including restructures and TUPE transfers.
• Advise on redundancy, disciplinary, grievance, capability and attendance issues.
