Job summary

CDW Limited seeks a Senior Solution Architect to lead HPC and accelerated compute engagements, shaping architectures to meet research and education needs. You will own technical designs, validate vendor inputs, and partner with sales to drive proposals that align with customer outcomes.

The role requires strong HPC experience, sector knowledge, and proven ability to present complex concepts to senior stakeholders while coordinating with internal teams and vendors.

Qualifications

• Typically 3+ years in HPC, research computing or accelerated compute architecture.
• Experience shaping HPC solutions from workload requirements with real-world trade-offs.
• Experience in at least one target sector (life sciences, education, private sector).
• Experience with research/public sector procurement, tenders and frameworks.
• Experience with facilities or colocation partners on high-density deployments.

Responsibilities

• Act as HPC technical authority for CDW UK's HPC and accelerated compute.
• Translate customer workloads into architecture and pricing considerations.
• Lead solution design and vendor orchestration across multiple stakeholders.
• Support bids with technical responses, including proofs of value and benchmarking.
• Collaborate with sales and delivery teams to drive bids and engagements.
• Present technical concepts credibly to researchers, educators and decision makers.
