Job summary

Computacenter is seeking a Data Centre Design & Implementation Consultant to guide customers from initial solution design through installation and commissioning. In this client-facing role, you’ll bridge pre-sales and delivery, shaping architectures for AI/HPC environments while coordinating with vendors, logistics, and delivery teams for robust, install-ready solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience designing data centre layouts, cabling, power and cooling.
• Ability to translate customer requirements into delivery-ready designs.
• Experience producing BoMs, cost models, and Statements of Work.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management with customers, vendors, sales and delivery teams.
• Knowledge of installation, commissioning, and operations delivery.

Responsibilities

• Support pre-sales by developing technical solutions with customers and internal teams.
• Design data centre layouts, cabinet placement, cabling, routeways, and infrastructure.
• Provide guidance on power, cooling, and environmental requirements.
• Develop cost models, BoMs, and Statements of Work for proposals.
• Review designs and BoMs to identify risks or gaps.
• Produce installation-ready docs including cabling maps and labelling.
• Collaborate with logistics, vendors, and delivery teams for smooth execution.
• Support installation and commissioning with technical guidance.
• Build trusted relationships with customers, partners, and stakeholders.
