Job summary

William James Recruitment is seeking a Senior Associate Housing Litigation Solicitor to join a leading Manchester law firm. You will manage complex housing litigation for Registered Providers and local authorities, advising on anti-social behaviour, possession, and disrepair matters.

Hybrid working with a clear progression path, a competitive package up to £90,000 with bonus and benefits, and a chance to shape the practice in a national housing team.

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor with 5+ PQE in housing litigation.
• Experience acting for Registered Providers, local authorities, or private sector.
• Ability to manage complex housing litigation matters with minimal supervision.
• Experience supervising junior lawyers.
• Strong client relationship management and business development experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage a complex caseload of housing litigation for housing clients.
• Advise on anti-social behaviour and housing management litigation.
• Handle injunctions, committal proceedings, housing disrepair and property disputes.
• Provide strategic, commercially focused housing advice.
• Supervise and mentor junior lawyers.
• Develop long-term client relationships and act as client contact.
• Contribute to business development, networking, and pitches.
• Support tender opportunities and framework appointments.
• Collaborate with partners to identify growth opportunities.
• Build network within housing and property sector.
