Job summary

William James Recruitment is working with a leading housing litigation team in Manchester to recruit a Housing Solicitor up to 5PQE. You will handle a diverse caseload for Registered Providers, managing housing management litigation and advocating where necessary.

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor with up to 5 years’ PQE and eligibility to practice in England and Wales.
• Experience in housing litigation, social housing law or strong sector interest.
• Exposure to contentious work and case management.
• Advocacy experience or willingness to develop advocacy skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload of housing litigation for Registered Providers.
• Advise on anti-social behaviour and enforcement actions.
• Proceed with possession proceedings and housing management litigation.
• Draft pleadings, statements and other court documents; attend hearings as needed.
• Support senior lawyers on high‑value matters and build client relationships.
