Job summary

William James Recruitment is seeking a Housing Litigation Solicitor to join a leading UK law firm in Birmingham, specialising in social housing law and housing management litigation.

The candidate will manage a complex caseload for Registered Providers and local authorities, providing strategic advice and mentoring junior lawyers. A 5+ year PQE in housing litigation is required, with a strong focus on client relationships and business development.

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor with 5+ years' PQE in housing litigation and social housing law.
• Experience acting for Registered Providers, local authorities or the private sector.
• Proven ability to manage complex housing litigation with minimal supervision.
• Experience supervising or developing junior team members.
• Strong client relationship management and networking skills.

Responsibilities

• Managing a complex caseload of housing litigation for housing clients.
• Advising on anti-social behaviour, possession proceedings and housing management issues.
• Handling injunctions, committal proceedings and disrepair claims.
• Providing strategic, commercially focused housing advice to clients.
• Supervising and mentoring junior lawyers within the team.
• Developing long-term client relationships and contributing to business development.
