Job summary

Atlas Hotels in Southampton is seeking a Head Housekeeper for the Holiday Inn Express Southampton. This full-time role is 40 hours across five days per week with a salary of £33,150 per annum and a strong focus on guest experience.

You will lead, coach and develop the housekeeping team, manage rosters and budgets, and uphold Atlas standards across public and private areas. The position offers a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for career progression within our 59-hotel portfolio.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in housekeeping, preferably in a supervisory role.
• Previous people management experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and organise the housekeeping team to ensure a great guest experience.
• Supervise, guide and motivateHousekeeping Assistants and Supervisors.
• Communicate updates and priorities to the team and hotel leadership.
• Coach and develop team members, managing underperformance as needed.
• Oversee rostering, training, and service standards across areas of the hotel.
• Support the Hotel Manager with induction and staff welfare.
• Ensure cleanliness and Atlas standards in public and private areas, handling guest requests and issues promptly.
