Senior Shift Engineer – Client Direct – Luxury Hotel / Members Club – South Kensington – £38,000 - £40,000

My client is seeking a Senior Shift Engineer based in a luxury hotel/members club in South Kensington, London. Candidates should have previous experience in a similar hotel environment. The role involves working with the onsite maintenance team to carry out mechanical, electrical, and fabric maintenance tasks. The Senior Shift Engineer will also act as an authority figure to other shift engineers on site. Hours of Work

• 4 on 4 off shift
• Days shift or a mix of days and nights

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Monitor mechanical plant including pumps, motors, seals, and bearings
• Manage air conditioning systems such as air handling units and fan coil units (including filter changes and cleaning)
• Perform water treatment tasks such as temperature checks (not dosing)
• Handle plumbing tasks like unblocking toilets and replacing taps and washers
• Monitor BMS systems
• Perform basic electrical duties such as lamp changes
• Maintain general building fabric
• Escort specialist subcontractors
• Ensure contractual KPIs & SLA requirements are met
• Undertake allocated tasks promptly and professionally
• Identify and report faults with building services equipment and take corrective steps
• Report and escalate H&S issues as required
• Maintain communication with client staff regarding service levels and issues
• Report service issues to site management for client communication
• Remain flexible regarding site attendance and tasks within personal competency
