Job summary

Pulse Healthcare seeks a Band 7 Hospital Pharmacist to join the Birmingham team. The role involves delivering clinical pharmacy services, supporting safe prescribing, and contributing to medicines reconciliation in a fast-paced teaching hospital environment.

The successful candidate will work within multidisciplinary teams, optimise medicines management and improve patient outcomes while maintaining high standards of clinical documentation and governance.

Qualifications

• Be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
• Have NHS hospital pharmacy experience.
• Demonstrate Band 7 level or equivalent experience.
• Possess prescribing support experience.
• Experience undertaking medicines reconciliation and reviews.
• Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical pharmacy services across designated wards/departments.
• Support safe and effective prescribing practices in the hospital.
• Undertake medicines reconciliation and clinical medication reviews.
• Offer specialist pharmaceutical advice to multidisciplinary teams.
• Promote medicines optimisation and safe medicine use.
• Contribute to discharge planning and continuity of care.
• Participate in clinical audits, governance activities and service projects.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation.
