Job summary

Windrush Care in Gloucestershire is recruiting a Senior Home Carer to deliver person-centred care in clients’ homes. The role requires you to extend independence, dignity, and quality of life while working 37.5 hours weekly and navigating sponsorship transfer.

Applicants must hold a current CoS and have a valid UK driving licence with access to a vehicle. Full sponsorship is considered after the initial secondary period and checks are completed.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Full UK driving licence and have access to a reliable vehicle.
• Experience working in domiciliary or equivalent care environment.
• Be operating within existing sponsorship with a current CoS.
• Able to work 20 hours per week as secondary employment with Windrush Care at start.
• Willing to work 4–8 weeks in secondary employment before potential sponsorship.
• Reliable, professional and committed to quality care.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills; able to work independently or with a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality personal care and practical support.
• Assist with activities of daily living.
• Assist with medicines according to care plans and procedures.
• Support mobility and transfers as needed.
• Prepare meals and assist with home activities.
• Build professional relationships with clients and families.
• Notice and report changes in client health or wellbeing.
• Keep accurate, up-to-date care records and follow care plans.
• Uphold safeguarding and safety standards and report concerns.
