Job summary

Wirral Metropolitan Borough Council in Wirral is seeking a Senior Technical Officer to join the Home Safety & Renovation team. You will deliver high-standard home improvement and minor adaptation schemes, working at pace and autonomously when needed.

The role requires extensive knowledge of construction methods, building regs and CDM, plus leadership of technical queries and mentoring of officers. Hybrid working in Wirral.

Qualifications

• Significant experience with repairs and adaptations in homes.
• Sound knowledge of construction methods and building regulations.
• Experience with CDM regulations and enforcing standards.

Responsibilities

• Draft, design and deliver complex Home Improvement & Minor Adaptations schemes.
• Lead technical queries and mentor Technical Officers.
• Ensure schemes comply with legislation and policies and deliver promptly.
