Job summary

Cury School in Cornwall is seeking a Teaching Assistant for 30.5 hours a week during term time, with inset days. You will support teachers, contribute to learning outcomes and assessment, and help foster SEMH-inclusive education.

The post requires collaboration with staff on planning and resource preparation, class supervision during teacher absences, and a commitment to pupils’ welfare and inclusion. Safeguarding remains a priority within the Special Partnership Trust.

Qualifications

• Supports delivery of the curriculum and assessment under the SPT PARRCS framework.
• Collaborates with teaching staff on planning, resource preparation and policy development.
• Supervises whole classes during short-term teacher absences.
• Upholds HLTA standards in all aspects of work.
• Supports pupil welfare and inclusive learning in school life.

Responsibilities

• Support Teachers’ delivery of the curriculum and assessment under SPT PARRCS framework.
• Collaborate with staff on planning, resource preparation, and whole cycle management.
• Supervise classes during short-term absence of teachers.
• Provide support for pupils, teachers and other staff to raise standards.
• Encourage independent learning and inclusion of pupils in all school activities.
• Uphold HLTA standards in all aspects of work.
• Engage in professional development through the School Performance Management process.
