Randstad Education is partnering with a Cranleigh-based school to recruit a flexible Teaching Assistant for a diverse learning environment on a large campus. The role requires HLTA status or a commitment to completing it, with responsibilities across small-group and 1:1 support and collaboration with therapists.

Qualifications

• HLTA status or commitment to completing the qualification.
• Ability to adapt learning materials for a wide range of academic abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication, time management, and attention to detail.
• Empathetic, energetic approach to supporting children with additional needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead small-group sessions and provide 1:1 support for pupils.
• Plan, design engaging lessons and tailored resources.
• Support pupil growth and wellbeing with positive behaviour management.
• Track pupil progress and maintain records; communicate with parents.
• Provide pastoral care, supervise breaks/lunchtime, escort offsite visits and ensure safety on campus.
• Collaborate with occupational and speech therapists and mentor trainees.
