Salary: £25,632 - £32,763 (based on 36 hours per week, term-time plus 5 INSET days) Working Hours: Monday 08:30-16:00, Tuesday-Thursday 08:30-16:15, Friday 08:30-15:45

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver targeted group interventions, lead full-class learning, and step in to provide short-term cover teaching.
• Assist with creative curriculum design and develop engaging, accessible resources.
• Drive positive behaviour management, nurture learner independence, and build self-worth.
• Monitor progress, evaluate achievements, and maintain open communication with parents in line with institutional standards.
• Deliver strong pastoral support, oversee break and lunchtime duties, and assist on educational visits.
• Work alongside multidisciplinary teams, including therapists, while guiding colleagues or placements.
• Embed ICT into daily learning and complete mandatory professional development, including Team Teach.
• Maintain safe transitions across all areas of the extensive school grounds.

Requirements

• Hold HLTA status, or demonstrate the drive to complete the qualification.
• Proven ability to adapt complex information for a broad range of learning capabilities.
• Exemplary written and verbal communication skills, paired with sharp attention to detail and strong time management.
• High-level interpersonal and diplomacy skills, thriving both independently and collaboratively.
• An enthusiastic, empathetic, and dedicated approach to pupil development.
• Access to personal transport, given the semi-rural setting.
• Clear eligibility to work in the UK and willingness to undergo a full Enhanced DBS check.

Desirable Criteria

• Prior experience within a specialist SEN environment or supporting autistic learners.
• Current Team Teach certification, or willingness to complete training prior to start date.
