Advance TRS in Port Solent (Portsmouth) is seeking a Senior Permanent Consultant to lead a high-autonomy highways desk. You will own the full permanent recruitment lifecycle across highways contractors, consultancies and local authorities, building relationships with clients and candidates and driving revenue growth.

You will recruit engineers, designers, PMs, site agents and commercial staff, headhunt top talent, and advise on salaries and market conditions while keeping CRM accurate and

Qualifications

• Proven perm recruitment record, ideally in highways, transport or civil engineering.
• Established network of clients and candidates in the sector, or drive to build one quickly.
• Consistent billing and strong account management.
• Persuasive, tenacious and resilient under pressure.
• Well organised and commercially minded.
• Proficient with CRM systems and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Run a full 360 perm desk across highways contractors, consultancies and local authority supply chains
• Recruit highways engineers, designers, project managers, site agents and commercial staff
• Develop key accounts and win new business across national and regional frameworks
• Take detailed briefs and advise clients on salaries, market conditions and hiring strategy
• Head-hunt and represent strong candidates, managing them through to offer and start
• Negotiate offers that work for both client and candidate
• Keep the CRM accurate and compliant, deliver against targets and support newer colleagues
