Leicester City Council's Highways service is seeking a seasoned engineering leader to manage a multi-million pound annual highway maintenance programme and supervise a team of six engineers and transport professionals.

You will provide technical guidance to your team and other council colleagues, manage budgets and contracts, chair meetings, and present to politicians and senior management. Some home working is allowed, but regular travel to sites and meetings is required.

Competenze

• Substantial experience managing highway and engineering professionals in a busy highway environment.
• Proven track record in programme, project and contractual management.
• Extensive experience of highway and bridge maintenance and design specifications.
• Experience of partnership working with senior management and other stakeholders.

• Develop and deliver the multi-million pound yearly highway maintenance programme
• Lead asset management programmes for carriageways, bridges, footways and cycleways
• Manage a team of six engineers and transport professionals
• Provide technical guidance to your own team and other council teams
