Aldwych Consulting is seeking a Senior Highways Engineer to lead technical delivery on a varied portfolio of highways, public realm and active travel projects in and around London. The role involves fast-paced design work from feasibility through to construction, with direct client and stakeholder engagement and potential for leadership within the team.

• Experience in highways/public realm design.
• Delivery of projects from feasibility to construction.
• Knowledge of UK highways design standards and processes.
• Experience with local authorities and public/private sector clients.
• Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Deliver highways/public realm/active travel schemes from feasibility to construction.
• Take technical responsibility for projects and design packages.
• Produce and review highways design deliverables.
• Work with clients and stakeholders to develop practical solutions.
• Support project and commercial management including programmes and resources.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with the wider team.
• Ensure designs consider health and safety, sustainability and buildability.
