Job summary

Aldwych Consulting is seeking a Senior Highways Engineer in Richmond-upon-Thames to lead technical delivery on diverse highways and public realm projects. You will engage with clients, stakeholders and the design team to drive feasibility through to construction, ensuring safety, sustainability and buildability throughout.

The role requires a strong background in highways design, project leadership, and experience with Civil 3D/AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• Relevant highways/public realm design experience.
• Experience delivering projects from feasibility to construction.
• Knowledge of UK highways design standards and processes.
• Experience with local authorities or developers is a plus.
• Strong communication and client-facing skills.
• Chartered status or working towards it is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Deliver highways, public realm, active travel and road safety schemes from feasibility through to detailed design and construction.
• Take technical responsibility for projects and design packages.
• Produce and review high-quality highways design deliverables.
• Work directly with clients and stakeholders to develop practical engineering solutions.
• Support bids, proposals and business development activity.
• Mentor and support graduate and junior engineers.
