Job summary

Kier Group in Salford is seeking a Senior Highways Design Engineer to join our Highways Design Team. You will produce highway designs, drawings and reports within the National Highways Scheme Delivery Framework, working 40 hours per week with some flexibility.

You will support the Principal Engineer, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with clients and authorities to ensure design quality and timely delivery while maintaining safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Member of a professional body, IEng/CEng status or working towards.
• Competent with civil engineering design software such as AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Prepare preliminary and detailed highway designs for local and national authorities.
• Deliver technical and feasibility studies meeting client specifications.
• Mentor junior staff and liaise with clients and authorities.
