Job summary

Bristol City Council is seeking a Senior Network Management Officer within the Highway Network Management service. You will work at a senior technical and professional level, coordinating complex highway network activities and supporting the Streetworks Permit Scheme to minimise disruption to people travelling around the city.

You will build partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, provide specialist advice, monitor projects and contribute to policy improvements while ensuring

Qualifications

• Knowledge of highway network management and relevant transport legislation/best practice.
• Experience in managing and coordinating projects, monitoring progress, costs, deadlines and service delivery.
• Strong communication and partnership working skills for advice and guidance to colleagues and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate complex highway network activities and projects, delivering to timescales and service standards.
• Support the Streetworks Permit Scheme with specialist technical advice.
• Build and maintain partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to support network management and service improvement.
• Identify and implement improvements to policies, procedures and ways of working, providing guidance to colleagues.
