Job summary

North East Lincolnshire Council is seeking a Senior Technician in Highway Inspector to join our Highways and Transport team. You will inspect the highway network and provide practical technical support across maintenance activities, helping to keep streets safe and well-maintained.

Reporting to the Highways Asset Management team, you will contribute to inspections, data records and proposals for programmed maintenance, while working with planning, environment and utility colleagues to resolve

Qualifications

• Experience in a relevant technical or professional field with data, systems, records and technical information.
• Organised, accurate and able to manage competing priorities.
• Able to work outdoors and in varied weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Inspect the highway network and provide practical technical support across maintenance activities.
• Support the Council in meeting its statutory duty to maintain highways.
• Report condition findings and propose programmed maintenance actions.
• Collaborate with planning, environmental enforcement and utility teams.
• Assist with site inspections, surveys, audits and data collection.
