Senior Highway & Drainage Design Engineer – Hybrid

Job summary

Tetra Tech Europe is seeking a Highway/Civil Engineer to design and deliver highways and drainage infrastructure across a range of projects in the North West and beyond. You will own projects from concept through delivery and act as the key contact for clients and stakeholders.

We require Chartered progression toward CEng MICE/CIHT, strong AutoCAD/Civil 3D/MicroDrainage skills, and a UK driving licence. A hybrid working model and flexible site visits are available.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent, with progression towards chartership.
• Experience in highways and drainage design including SuDS.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D (or Site 3D/PDS) and MicroDrainage.
• Good understanding of statutory approvals, commercial awareness and strong communication skills.
• Full UK driving licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver highways and drainage schemes across residential, commercial and infrastructure projects.
• Take ownership from concept to delivery and act as main client contact.
• Lead delivery of S278, S38, S104 and related schemes.
• Ensure designs meet standards (DMRB, Building Regulations) and local authority requirements.
• Support commercial performance and risk management while mentoring colleagues.
