Job summary

Ringway Infrastructure Services seeks a Senior Design Engineer to join our London Projects Team. You will balance hands-on highways design with mentoring and developing junior engineers while delivering schemes for TfL and London Boroughs.

You will lead design from concept to construction, manage programmes, ensure safety and compliance, and liaise with clients across London. A strong highways background and proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil 3D are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Significant highways design experience.
• Strong technical design capability within highways and transportation projects.

Responsibilities

• Producing and reviewing highway design drawings, specifications and reports.
• Acting as Design Lead across multiple concurrent projects.
• Leading designs through the full project lifecycle.
• Managing project programmes and design delivery milestones.
• Supporting and mentoring engineers, graduates and technicians.
• Ensuring designs are safe, buildable and compliant with relevant standards.
• Liaising with clients, stakeholders and internal operational teams.
• Providing design assurance and technical guidance across the wider team.
• Supporting commercial performance, forecasting and delivery against framework requirements.
