Job summary

Pertemps Bond is recruiting an experienced HGV Workshop Manager to lead a busy commercial vehicle workshop in Stoke-on-Trent. You will oversee maintenance, repairs and compliance for a diverse fleet, manage technicians, plan schedules and ensure high workmanship standards.

The role offers a competitive salary and Monday–Friday hours, with opportunities to develop within a growing fleet operations environment. This position requires hands-on leadership and broad technical expertise.

Qualifications

• Class 1 (C+E) Licence.
• HGV maintenance and engineering experience.
• Strong understanding of workshop operations and vehicle maintenance planning.
• Experience leading teams within a commercial vehicle environment.
• Good knowledge of DVSA regulations, MOT standards and Operator Licence compliance.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise HGV technicians and workshop staff.
• Plan, schedule and allocate daily maintenance and repair work.
• Ensure DVSA, MOT and Operator Licence compliance for vehicles.
• Oversee inspections, servicing programmes, preventative maintenance and defect repairs.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and compliance reports.
• Control workshop costs and monitor productivity.
• Liaise with transport teams and senior leadership.
